What experiences or influences inspired you to pursue a career in writing?

I never thought honestly to be a writer. I come from a small town where access to cutting-edge technology at one point  felt like a distant dream. The world of AI always fascinated me, but it often felt wrapped in jargon and complexity. When I finally broke through and built a career in Cloud and AI, especially GenAI, I realized something powerful — this technology isn’t just for engineers, it’s for everyday people. I wrote this book because I wanted a student, a teacher, a small business owner, or a curious parent to feel “This is for me too.”

Demystify Generative AI for Everyday People was born out of my own journey — from feeling like an outsider to becoming a TEDx speaker and Google GenAI specialist. If I could bridge that gap, so can anyone.

Could you walk us through your writing process? Do you follow any specific routines or rituals that help you stay focused and motivated?

My writing process begins with real conversations — with students, entrepreneurs, creators, and people who feel left out of the AI revolution. I take those stories, turn them into relatable scenarios, and write in the simplest possible language, as if explaining to my younger self.

Every morning or sometimes late evening in “Me” time, I dedicate quiet time to writing before the noise of the world sets in. A cup of chai, slow, peaceful music, and a clear vision: “How can I make AI feel human and approachable today?” That’s my daily ritual.

What challenges did you face while writing your book(s), and how did you overcome them?

I am a firm believer that any technology is for everyone but not limited to certain sections of people. That being said, it's not easy to translate technologies to simple words if you don't understand it correctly, if not completely!

The biggest challenge was translating complex technology into human language without losing its power. AI terms can sound intimidating. I wanted to make sure a student, a teacher, or a 60-year-old retiree could pick up the book and say, “I get this.”

I overcame it by writing like I talk — using metaphors, everyday examples, and personal stories. I kept reminding myself: “This isn’t about sounding smart. It’s about empowering others.”

Which authors or books have had the greatest impact on your writing style, and what do you admire most about their work?

I am a big-time reader of Darius Foroux (Win Your Inner Battles, Think Straight) and Mel Robbins, James Clear to name a few.

Books like “Atomic Habits” by James Clear and “The 4-Hour Workweek” by Tim Ferriss shaped my approach. What I admire most about their work is clarity — they make big ideas feel simple, actionable, and personal.

I tried to bring that same clarity and empathy to Demystify Generative AI for Everyday People. My goal was to make the reader feel like I’m sitting right beside them, explaining AI step by step. My objective was to keep it simple and straight to the point.

What essential skills do you believe are crucial for an author to succeed in their writing career?

Three skills: empathy, clarity, and consistency.

• Empathy — so your words reach the heart of your readers.

• Clarity — so big ideas become digestible.

• Consistency — because writing a book is not a sprint, it’s a disciplined marathon.

I didn’t write this book to impress people; I wrote it to empower them. And that required showing up every single day with heart.

What does a typical morning look like for you?

Honestly, this is the toughest question so far for me. I keep trying to improve 1% every day. I am still trying to finetune my mornings to a better shape every day.

Mornings are sacred. I understand that. I am not an early riser as a  person, though, but I try to  wake up early, meditate, and journal for a few minutes. Then I write or brainstorm as  a habit every day with gratitude. Those quiet hours give me clarity to shape my ideas into something useful for others.

That’s when I wrote some of the most powerful chapters of the book — moments when inspiration met intention.

How do you like to unwind after a long day of work?

I go for long walks, spend time with my family, or listen to soft instrumental music. Sometimes, I just observe people (I feel I am very good at this being No. 7 (numerology) by date of birth) — how they live, talk, dream. That human connection is where my creativity refuels.

Many real-life examples in my book came from simple conversations during these evening walks.

How do you prioritise self-care in your daily life?

I’ve learned the hard way, mostly from my mistakes, that you can’t pour from an empty cup. I block time for movement, meditation, and quiet reflection. Self-care isn’t selfish — it must have fuel with “me time”. When I take care of my mind and energy, I create from a place of abundance.

Are there any habits or rituals that have greatly contributed to your productivity?

Yes — writing at the same time every day, breaking complex tasks into micro-goals, and using the “teach a 5-year-old” method. If I can explain something simply, I know it’s ready for the book. I am a firm follower and believer of journaling with gratitude!

This approach shaped the voice of Demystify Generative AI for Everyday People — simple, practical, and human.

In your opinion, what is the purpose of life?

To create impact beyond ourselves. For me, it’s using knowledge and experiences to uplift others. If even one person picks up my book, learns something, and builds their future with AI instead of fearing it — that’s impact.

I believe we’re here to light the way for someone else.

What is the most important lesson you've learned in your journey so far?

The most important learning is  that no one starts as an expert. We all start confused, overwhelmed, or scared. I’ve been there. But growth happens when you take the first step anyway.

That’s why this book exists — to make that first step into AI easy, friendly, and accessible for everyone.

How do you handle setbacks or failures, and what have they taught you?

I see setbacks as redirection, not rejection. When chapters didn’t flow right or when early drafts felt weak, I reminded myself why I started — to help others believe they belong in the AI era.

Every failure made the book better. Every stumble made the message stronger: you don’t need to be perfect to start — you just need to begin.
