About the Author
An MBA from IIM Bangalore, Kapil Dabur has deep-rooted interests in mythology. Having worked in the corporate world for almost 16 years, he finally decided to pursue his passion for Writing.
It is his third novel. The previous ones were Unusual choices and The Signet Ring. Apart from his passion for writing, he also has a keen interest in Stock markets.

Q. Can you tell us a bit about your book "Krishna Series - The Beginning"?
This is part 1 of the Krishna Series: a mythological fiction based on the life of Lord Krishna. I have tried retelling certain aspects of the story while adding a lot of unknown aspects from the life of Lord Krishna.
Most of it is based on the research that I did on Lord Krishna.
Q. What inspired the idea for your book?
I am an avid reader, I enjoy reading the mythological genre especially. This is my third book and my second attempt at the mythological genre.
Q. So, where did you start? What was the writing process like for this book?
I had just finished my second book, The Signet Ring, a mythological fiction based on Lord Hanuman. I was looking for a new subject and finally, I zeroed in on the life of Lord Krishna.
Q.What kind of research did you undertake, and how did you go about it?
I went through a meticulous research process reading a lot about the Life of Lord Krishna on the net and in libraries. I came across quite a few not-so-known incidents about the life of Lord Krishna.
It was a wonderful process to go through all that information.
Q. Something personal about you people may be surprised to know?
I have a keen interest in financial markets and I am a very active participant in the equity markets. I published my first two books while working on my first startup.
Q. Which quality do you think is the most important in an aspiring author?
Being very clear about the plot, right from the start till the very end is very important. One should detail the plot as much as possible before starting to write the book.
Q. Tell us something about your professional life.
I passed out from IIM Bangalore in 2003-05. Worked for 16 years in blue chip firms like Airtel, Reebok, Vodafone, and Homelane in various leadership roles. I moved into full-time writing in 2021.
I also incubated a startup in the Home Furnishing space.
