योगिता वार्डे जी लगभग पूरी दुनिया घूम चुकी हैं। कहानियाँ और कविताएँ लिखने का शौक इन्हें बचपन से ही रहा है, मगर कविताएँ और कहानियाँ, इनके संदूक से कभी बाहर नहीं आई।
फिर इन्होंने एक बार अपनी कहानियों को समेटा, उन्हें पुनः जिया। उन कहानियों को उनके मुकाम तक पहुँचाने का ठान लिया। वहीं से शुरू हुआ इनके लिखने का सफ़र।
इनकी किताबों का सफ़र ‘साही ‘&’ सुधीर’ से शुरू हुआ। उसके बाद ‘दीया’ और ‘पोस्ट कार्ड (हर ज़िन्दगी कुछ कहती है)’ अभी तक यह तीनों किताबें प्रकाशित हो चुकी हैं।
तीनों किताबों का अंग्रेजी में अनुवाद भी हो चूका है और वे प्रकाशित भी हो चुकी हैं। ‘कुकर की सीटी’ इनकी चौथी किताब है, यह फ्लाइड्रीम्स से इनकी पहली किताब है।
इनके कई आर्टिकल न्यूज़पेपर और मैगज़ीन में आ चुके हैं। इन्हें किताब ‘दीया’ के लिए ‘Best Author Of The Year’ का अवार्ड भी मिल चुका है।
AUTHOR INTERVIEW
Q. What first made you fall in love with writing and books in general?
I fell in love with books when I was a child, after reading comics. I never knew where that comics’ love was going to take me.
After that, I started reading stories, novels and all. The world of books has always seemed to me to be magical.
We can do everything in stories that we can't in real life.
Q. What inspired the idea for your book?
I am always inspired by all those who inspire others and live their life differently. We should always keep learning something or the other from everyone.
Q. What characters in your book are most similar to you or to people you know?
Some of the characters in my 4th book are real, and the story is a true story of how everyone's life has been recently.
My second book is also a true story. The characters are my real-life friends.
Q. What is your writing process like?
I like to write most at the night. Whenever the idea of a new story comes to me, I first draft that story, then write that story step by step.
Q. What do you think are the integral components of a good book?
The integral components of a good book are the characters that make up the story. The characters in the story keep it alive and interesting.
Q. If you could spend a day with another popular author, whom would you choose?
J. K. Rowling & Ashwin Sanghi. These two have always inspired me.
Q. How do you use social media as an author?
Nowadays reaching the readers is very important, so social media is playing the same role.
Q. What advice would you give to someone who is trying to become an author?
Always keep in mind that if you want to succeed in one night, you want to accomplish everything as quickly as possible, then you should understand that in addition to numerous attempts, climbing a mountain requires us to endure numerous sleepless nights and overcome all obstacles in our path.
In the end, I would say that make a habit of writing daily.
Q. What are some of your daily habits?
My day starts with a cup of coffee. In my daily habits, I like to read for 2 hours and write for 2 hours.
Q. What has the pandemic taught you?
The best part about the Pandemic was learning that you can be happy with little things so live every moment.
My book “Cooker ki Seeti” is based on the lockdown, which I wrote at the same time.

जब हमने हँसते-मुस्कुराते हमेशा की तरह 2020 में प्रवेश किया, तब कहाँ पता था कि हमारी आने वाली ज़िंदगी में हमें एक बीमारी के चलते 'लॉकडाउन' में रहना पड़ेगा।

किस तरह मजदूरों की घर वापसी हुई, वहीं बच्चे अपनी नानियों के घर नहीं जा सके।
किस तरह हम डिज़िटल दुनिया में बीस साल आगे हो गए।
किस तरह हमारी ज़िन्दगी में सोशल मीडिया ने अहम रोल निभाया।
किस तरह हमने अपने परिवार के साथ समय बिताया।
कहीं किसी की शादी का टूटना, कहीं किसी का साथ हमेशा के लिए छूटना।
इन सभी अनुभवों का लेखा-झोखा है यह किताब....
'कुकर की सीटी' में छह नाटकों का संकलन है, जो कि लॉकडाउन पर आधारित हैं।
