Yours Legally by Sonia Sahijwani is a collection of unpredictable, inspiring and mind-blowing short stories. Every single story of this book is shocking, thrilling and full of drama.

It is a 116-page powerhouse which will inform you about the different faces of law in a humorous and creative way. Each story is inspired by true events and is based on the first-hand experience of the author in the field of law.

Yours Legally plays with your emotions, by showing the good and bad side of the law without getting biased. All the stories get etched into your brain like a tattoo. You don't need to read the book twice, because it will be glued into your mind forever.

The book takes you behind the scene of a courtroom drama. Believe me, it will blow your mind away from how we see the law in the movies and how it is in reality.

I would love to watch Yours Legally converted into a TV-series and made available on apps like Netflix, Prime Video or Hotstar. Also, I would like to see Yours Legally published every 365 days and converted into a book series. For example, Yours Legally part 2 can consist of the stories from 2019 and should be published in 2020. Every new year will bring new opportunities, new stories, and it will also work as a mirror as to how the law is changing in our country.

I also loved the cover of the book, it is beautiful. The titles of each story are also very simple yet out of the box. It is not just an interesting read for youngsters in the profession or for all those curious about the profession, it is a MUST READ for everyone no matter what your field of interest is because the law is something we all have to follow no matter what. It is a part of our life, and it is what keeps our life in sync towards good growth.

Overall, Yours Legally is full of twists and turns. It will inspire you to do whatever you want to do no matter what. It also motivates you to have patience and boosts you to keep looking for opportunities. So, go ahead and buy this book from Amazon now!

A young girl Sia has recently finished her graduation in Law against her parent's wishes. With absolutely no family background in the legal profession, she sets out to explore the various opportunities this not so common but the upcoming field of law brings her way.

Written in the form of short stories and inspired by some true events, the author, through the protagonist Sia, narrates to us few such unusual and memorable incidents including some eccentric courtroom dramas, all of which left a deep impact in her life.

This book is an honest attempt to talk about the law with a dash of satire, with an aim to reach out to all those who may or may have never stepped inside a court. And for those who are a part of it already, they might relate to it in some way.

Just read along and enjoy the short but bumpy ride...

Q. Characterize yourself in one word?

Q. Please describe what the story/book is about in one sentence.

Six short stories related to the legal profession inspired by true incidents witnessed by the author herself.

Q. Briefly, what led up to this book? What were you writing (and getting published, if applicable) before breaking out with this book?

The idea for this book emerged while I was doing my internship/training during my law college days under lawyers, firms, and NGOs.

I witnessed some eccentric courtroom dramas and had many other experiences which I started penning down since I felt it would be an interesting read if the stories ever got published. I wrote the first draft of this book many years ago and was currently working on my second novel while I was contacted by my publisher for getting this book out in the literary world.

Q. What has been your biggest achievement?

I feel my biggest achievement is yet to come but as for now, the fact that I fulfilled my dream of becoming an author at the age of 33 is my biggest achievement so far.

Q. Looking back, what did you do right that helped you break-in?

Looking back, I think that what I did right was I never ever gave up on my passion for writing. In our busy schedules and lifestyles, we tend to neglect the very things we used to love at one point of time citing lack of time as an excuse. However, I continued to hone my skill of writing and kept myself associated with writing articles in Hindi, English be it for college magazines, my own blog, for in house magazines of my company, etc. The fact that I also never gave up on my first draft Yours Legally is what helped me break-in.

Q. Did you have a platform in place? On this topic, what are you doing to build a platform and gain readership?

I mostly resorted to Social Media as my main tool for marketing my debut book and my second book which has been recently released. Instead of stocking up the books, I and my publisher devised a strategy for selling books via print on demand which worked well for both of us. I strongly feel social media can be used as an effective mechanism to reach out to thousands of readers and make your voice heard. Since its been few months since my debut book got published, I am now doing extensive marketing with the help of my publisher, bloggers, and book promotion companies like to reach out further and wider.

Q. Favorite book?

The Eleventh Commandment by Jeffrey Archer remains my favorite book till date.

Q. Something personal about you people may be surprised to know?

I come across as a social butterfly but in fact, I share my personal thoughts and feelings with only 1-2 of my closest people. There are a lot of people who don't know about me yet.

Q. Future of through your eyes?

I am truly glad is helping budding authors like us get ourselves visible in the literary world by promoting our books on their website. This concept is novel and has a bright future ahead. WHAT TO READ: YOURS LEGALLY by Sonia Sahijwani LIST OF BOOKS BY AUTHOR: Yours Legally Baby on Board
