THE BOY WHO SAVED BUDDHA BOOK REVIEW

The Boy Who Saved Buddha by Anuj Tikku is passionate, heartfelt, and profoundly empowering. A reading experience that I will not forget soon.

When I started this book, I thought I was going to read a super thrilling story full of action, but I was proved wrong. The plot is so intense yet beautiful at the same time. On the other hand, the characters are extraordinary, and as you go deep in the story, you will feel like you are right there alongside watching their lives and dramas play out. I very much enjoyed this book, and I believe it must be at the top of your to-be-read list.

Inspired by the real-life situation of Kabul, Afghanistan, this book will take you on a reading tour of a city previously famous for its gardens, bazaars, palaces, and how it lost its shine and became a war zone. You will be surprised by the way this book decodes the possible reasons of a war-torn country. The characters are well developed, and the story-line wraps up in a very well thought out plot.

I never read a book that shows the civil side of a war-torn country and makes you believe that a small change can make a huge impact. It is what makes this book outstanding and a great read that you can finish in one go.

Overall, I loved The Boy Who Saved Buddha by Anuj Tikku and would recommend it to everyone with an unbiased mind. It is a very engaging read, and you will love it. So, go ahead and buy this book from Amazon now!

INTERVIEW

Q. When did you first realize you wanted to become an author?

This was after I had left Mumbai and started doing religious traveling, during this phase I started my blog www.tikkustravelthon.in. Starting the blog gave me the discipline to write and traveling gave me many stories that I could write about. For five years I converted my writings into books and then figured out ways to sell them online and monetize my writings.

Q. How did your life change after your father's death?

I had to leave Mumbai and reinvent myself completely. I was left all alone that is where traveling helped. On the other hand, writing helped me figure out my emotions and gave me a creative outlet.

Q. How was your experience working with Shahrukh Khan as an actor?

Great. I had a few scenes with him in Rab ne Bana di Jodi. He was reserved on the set and was smoking all the time. My director Aditya Chopra was happy with my work and that was great. I did manage to chat with him about his IPL team and asked whether he was making any money out of it or not.

Q. How did you come up with the idea of publishing the book Nineteen on the COVID-19 pandemic?

This lockdown and the entire change of situation inspired me to write Nineteen. Most of the characters in the book are inspired by real-life individuals. Yes! It is. I had sex with all seven girls in the book and then wrote about it. I lived it first and then wrote about it through my personal experience.

As of now, I am focused on making a web series out of my book I Also Slept With Rashmi Verma. I have made songs for it and I am busy casting for it currently.

Q. What is your work schedule like when you're writing?

I generally write at night and look for inspiration around my environment. If something catches my attention, I make sure to write about it. I also write 2000 words a day.

Q. What do you like to do when you're not writing?

I watch YouTube videos and meditate. I meditate for hours sometimes and these days I am busy doing that.

Q. Out of all the books that you have written. Which is your favorite one?
