Q. Please introduce yourself to our readers.

I am Robyn Sasha. Born in London, UK. I started writing songs in my room from the age of 14. Music became my therapy.

Q. How was your childhood/teenage? Please share your story.

My childhood wasn’t the happiest despite coming from a wealthy high-class background. I learned from a young age that money doesn’t make you happy.

Music and helping others is definitely what got me through the hardest of times, along with my pony Spotty who I used to compete with across the UK showjumping.

I started out singing in church and counselling & mentoring the youth from the church youth group.

Q. How did you start your singing career?

I loved to sing and started writing songs from the age of 14. I began performing gospel in a church in North London.

Q. Why do you love butterflies?

Butterflies are incredible. I love that they can start from a caterpillar then go through a great deal of darkness & pain in the cocoon then come out a beautiful butterfly. Humans are similar in that perspective as it completely resonates with me and my story.

I believe we should all learn from the butterfly as it doesn’t matter what pain or darkness we live through, we can come out the other side more beautiful than we ever were.

Q. How do you manage your time?

I have a daily task list that’s managed in order of priority. Also, Google Calendar is my best friend!

Q. What would you say is your #1 key to success?

My key to success is to never give up regardless of how many people tell you how unrealistic your goals & dreams are. Believe in yourself no matter what. Do not stop working until they come to fruition.

Also to be kind to others, help people & always remain loyal. You will never keep success if you have bad intentions to get ahead. You get back what you put out.

Q. What are your future plans as an artist?

I have so many future plans, but mainly to have a platform to make a difference and use my voice to speak out & help. Life is far too short to only live and not make a difference to others. My belief is to leave your footprint behind with compassion and empathy.

Musically I have my EP ‘Butterfly’ which is almost finished. I have a few collaborations with some really great artists - I can’t wait for everyone to hear this upcoming project. I’ll be shooting the music videos next month so I’m very excited to be working with some of the best video directors in the music business.

I’m working on a new single with my dear friend Steve Dorff who’s a legendary songwriter/producer from Los Angeles. I’ve previously recorded ‘Bleed Red’, ‘Kiss & Tell’, and ‘Bodyshots’ which is coming out in a Hollywood movie next year with the main actress from Game of Thrones.

I’m also in the process of writing my book and working on my designs for my clothing line.

Q. Apart from music, what are your hobbies?

I love animals. I love helping and rescuing them as I have rescued my dog from Romania and another dog from India. As a child, I was always rescuing injured animals and nursing them back to health.

I also love nature, it’s incredibly healing so I enjoy going on beautiful walks & hikes.

Sport-wise I play basketball, tennis & horse riding.

Q. What are your thoughts on mental health?

I feel that helping others is quite important as it feeds your soul and makes you feel fulfilled. Personally, for me, the mind is our most powerful attribute. Regardless of your traumas and experiences, we have a responsibility to control and reprogram our minds for positivity and the greater good. Reading self-help books and watching YouTube videos can help, but no one can save you but YOU. We are creatures of habit so if we feed our mind & soul with negativity, that is the world we will create around us. It’s never too late to change to become the best version of yourself. You are the greatest investment you will ever work on.

Q. One piece of advice you would like to give someone who is currently struggling in life?

You are beautiful, strong & powerful. You are here for a reason and loved. You can achieve anything you put your mind to. I would recommend reading ‘The Secret’ and ‘Napoleon Hill - Think and Grow Rich'. It’s so important to keep kind, encouraging, uplifting, and positive people around you - as the company you keep has a big impact on who you’ll become.

Q. Future of SALISMANIA.com through your eyes?

A great platform to give artists like me a voice. What makes it even better is that you’re such great kind people to work with. Follow Robyn Sasha on Instagram
