Rewritten Lives Book Review

RATING – 4.5/5

AUTHOR: J. Elliot Howard

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: J. Elliot Howard was born in Findlay, Ohio. At the age of 16, his family moved to Sugar Land, TX. Shortly after moving, he began to write. No matter where he went, his writing followed. He wrote while attending the University of Houston, transferring and graduating from the University of Pittsburg, graduate school at Bowling Green State University, marriage, fatherhood, and all points in between. Poetry is his snapshot time because words mean more than pictures to him. They allow him to look, remember, and truly embrace each new experience. He loves the city of Houston. Houston is where he met his wife, and where his son was born. Writing has enabled him to express himself thoroughly and creatively. Life is more than "happy love." At times, he had to say goodbye. Sometimes he have had to give chase. In other situations, he have had to sit still. Nevertheless, in all of the places he lived and moments he experienced, are all worthwhile.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Challenges, heartache, loss, and learning to let go are some of the classes we attend in life. As time moves forward we have the feelings and thoughts before a lesson, during a lesson, and after a lesson. Moreover, how we view and are viewed also changes. Rewriting our lives is as constant as a change in life. These poems are "notes from class."

REVIEW: The book will seize your heart and mind with the collection of bitter-sweet life experiences of Author, illustrated in the form of beautiful life changing poems. With a fulgent book cover which suits the title and the theme of all the poems in a very impressive manner, the book will attract the readers in all possible ways. Elliot has interestingly presented the story of his life in the form of poems.

Life makes us walk into situations filled with joys and sorrows, it depends on us, how we collect those scattered rays of happiness and grief to become a better person. Elliot has shared all the bright and dark moments of his life, which is really inspiring. One must read this book at least once in a lifetime, as it is worth it. I would like to wish him all the very best in his life and would love to read his works in future. It is a MUST READ!
