Q. Characterize yourself in one word?

Q. Please describe what the story/book is about in one sentence.

The book is Short fun practical and a scintillating read.

Q. Briefly, what led up to this book? What were you writing (and getting published, if applicable) before breaking out with this book?

Married? Happily?! is my sixth book. I secretly nurtured a dream of writing a book and becoming an author someday from my childhood.

My hobbies are Travelling, Trekking, Reading, and Writing. Together these became the perfect recipe to write my first book The girl who was left behind"... It is a work of fiction adapted from my real-life experience " I failed to complete a trek and had to retrace my steps all alone facing the harsh challenges in the Himalayan ranges of Nepal at 12000 feet. I was heart-broken and devastated because my own husband was on this trek and he chose to go ahead with his trek leaving me behind.

Disappointments and setbacks are blessings in disguise. They are planted by destiny for us to find our way around. I turned this heartbreak into a chance to fulfill my dream of becoming an author. I Healed myself and learned to love myself first.

Happiness is an inside job, whatever loves comes from outside through other relationships is only a bonus.

Haven’t looked back since then I continue to go forward take on challenging treks and write inspiring books. To know more about me and my books you could visit my website www.rakhikapoor.com

I haven’t achieved it yet... Haven’t done anything big that I feel is worth mentioning as greatest. Someday I will make my mark. My books will be best sellers. I hope to bag the Nobel Prize for my country. That will be my ultimate and greatest achievement. God Willing.

Q. Looking back, what did you do right that helped you break-in?

A good book is a powerful tool of transformation. My books cannot be about my imagination sitting on a desk and writing. I write about what I do and how my existence can make a difference to my fellow beings around me. That resulted in my third book Expecting Daddy Delivers, a one of its kind on pregnancy for a man. A topic rarely written about. I went ahead to complete the trek to Everest base camp and mount Fuji in 2018 and mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania recently after I failed to complete the first one.

Over the years I always set a challenge for myself. Be it writing a book on an interesting subject or another trek. I then celebrate crossing each milestone in life. What did I do to help me break-in? I never gave up on myself had faith and got up each time life brought me down on my knees.
