Q. Characterize yourself in one word?

Q. Please describe what the story/book is about in one sentence.

The Colossal Illusion is a story of an achiever who is in a search of the man who made her an achiever only to realize that her journey is her biggest achievement, not the success.

Q. Briefly, what led up to this book? What were you writing before breaking out with this book?

The frequent earthquakes, cyclones, and destructive rains which took place in the last 3-4 years led me to come up with this book. I understood that earth is far more important than the greedy and inorganic desires we humans have, we are no one to ruin this beautiful planet.

And when I got to know about Mr. Jadav Payeng I made myself clear to come up with a story like this for the urban Indians and in 2 years I completed writing The Colossal Illusion.

See this is my second book, so naturally, I was writing 'A Non-Entity', my first book (smiles) before breaking out with this book.

Q. What has been your biggest achievement?

See we all are trying to do something or the other to live this life we are bestowed with, similarly I am doing mine. So there's nothing special to tell but yes living my life on my own terms and having no jealousy and hatred for anyone in me is probably my biggest achievement.

Q. Looking back, what did you do right that helped you break in?

My mother and my sisters did everything right around me which helped me to reach where I am right now. I just made mistakes (chuckles) and they corrected it.

Q. Did you have a platform in place? On this topic, what are you doing to build a platform and gain readership?

I teach students in colleges and schools as guest faculty, so my students are my readers. And then social media helps, and thanks to sites like yours, genuine readers also get to know about new books.

Q. Favorite book?

Book? There are books, many books. To name a few, Alice in Wonderland, Gulliver's Travels, Harry Potter Books, I like reading Sudha Murty books, every single book Roald Dahl wrote, Shakespeare of course and the list is endless.

Q. Something personal about you people may be surprised to know?

Apart from writing novels and performing stand-up comedy shows, very few people know that I love acting a lot and if you see me doing any web-series or TV show in the future now no one will be surprised because the cat is out of the bag. Thanks to this question (winks).

Q. Future of through your eyes?

You guys are doing a great job, reading books is a dying art and your site is a pure class because you are trying to keep this art alive. All the best for the future which is anyway very bright.
