ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Shreyas is a 21-year-old guy currently pursuing his B.Tech in Electrical Eng. from VNIT Nagpur. His love for history since his childhood prompted him to write his take on the story of Asoka who was one of the towering figures in the history of India, which has been taken up as ‘The Asoka Trilogy’ by Leadstart Publishing.
The first part of the trilogy called ‘The Prince of Patliputra’ has been published in January 2016 and garnered positive responses. The Second part which is called ‘Scourge from Taxila’ was released in December 2016.
He is also presently working on several other manuscripts and completing the final year of his engineering Course.

Q. Characterize yourself in one word?
Q. Please describe what the story/book is about in one sentence.
A saga of Power, Betrayal, Love, and Hatred set in Ancient India detailing the rise of the Maurya Dynasty.
Q. Briefly, what led up to this book? What were you writing (and getting published, if applicable) before breaking out with this book?
I have been writing stories ever since I was a kid. However, most of the stories would be left incomplete by my immature self. As I got older, the Asoka trilogy was the first story that I actually managed to complete.
Q. What has been your biggest achievement?
My biggest achievement is being one of India's youngest experts on Railway Electrification PSI work.
Q. Looking back, what did you do right that helped you break in?
I had ample amount of patience. I got almost 20 rejection emails on sending out the book to publishers. However, soon I signed a contract with Leadstart Publishing and got my break-in. Impatience often sour a deal and It was my patience which allowed me to bring this one and many more to come later.
Q. Did you have a platform in place? On this topic, what are you doing to build a platform and gain readership?
I run an inspirational Vlog at www.ourfirstmillion.org where we interview successful people and share their stories with aspirants for inspirational purposes.
Q. Favorite novel?
Napoleon by Emil Ludwig.
Q. Something personal about you people may be surprised to know?
I have never seen Shahrukh Khan's Asoka even once.
