Q. Characterize yourself in one word? Creative.

Q. Please describe what the story/book is about in one sentence. My book is the voice that’s coming from my heart in form of poems and Shayari's.

Q. Briefly, what led up to this book? What were you writing (and getting published, if applicable) before breaking out with this book? I’ve always been writing poems and shayari's since my teenage to be precise, my mother and kids motivated and encouraged me to write this book and get it published.

Q. What has been your biggest achievement? Though I always aim to conquer something new, my biggest achievement yet has been to make my mother proud, she always wanted one of her kid to become a Doctor; although I couldn’t do MBBS I did a Ph.D. in Eco and kinda did get a Dr attached before my name.

Q. Looking back, what did you do right that helped you break in? I listened to my children advice to make a blog page on Facebook, and to my surprise, the stuff I used to post on that page got a lot of appreciation that also encouraged me to break in. Making a page on Facebook was the right step for a beginner like me.

Q. Did you have a platform in place? On this topic, what are you doing to build a platform and gain readership? I do actually, as I have talked about my page “MERE KHAYAL”, it was already there before my book published so I could promote my book on the page, it has decent followers of around 32k. Here is the link to my page : https://www.facebook.com/मेरे-ख़याल-724611557665088/

Q. Favorite novel?

I’m not into fiction and in non-fiction, it's “THE SECRET By RHONDA BYRNE”

Q. Something personal about you people may be surprised to know? I don’t come across as an emotional person but I really am, I cry even at the movie, HaHa.

Q. Future of SALISMANIA.com through your eyes? I feel SALISMANIA.com is already doing a great job, it is a huge help to the upcoming authors and with the pace, Salismania is marching ahead, in no time they’ll be in a much bigger place then they are today.
