Shankar N Kashyap is an orthopedic surgeon originally from Bangalore now practicing in the United Kingdom. He published his first book, A Kangaroo Court in 2011 and since then published three books of the Harappa series.

One crisp Autumn evening, Dev Sharma, a highly regarded Priest with a murky past is found brutally murdered.

It falls on Sean O'Connor, a police inspector transferred from Ulster Constabulary, to untangle the web of mysteries surrounding his murder.

The clock is ticking. A jealous wife. A homophobic group. A drug addict. A bitter friend. A rent boy.

But only one of them can be the killer.

The Retribution is something you can't miss. It has love, care, drama, action, thrill, fear, and mystery on every page of the book. It is a melange, which you are surely going to love it.

The plot of the book is very unique and the characters are even more exclusive. I don't remember the last time I found a character like Dev Sharma in any book by an Indian author.

The story begins will a chill and ends on a thrill. Twists and turns are the backbones of the book which will keep you glued until the very last page.

As a reader, you know everything going around in the book but still you don't know anything about the climax. You know the answer but don't know the path of reaching the answer. This book is all about the path.

On the other hand, the characterization is at its best. Every character is interconnected to each other and the major characters are revealed half-way in the book which I found interesting.

I also loved the cover and I can't imagine a better title than 'The Retribution' for this book. It itself states the reason for the murder and the entire book is all about finding the killer.

Overall, I loved this book and would like to suggest to all the thriller lovers. The author has dedicated his book 'The Retribution' to all book lovers which also gives you another reason to read it.

So, go ahead and buy this book from Amazon now!
