A Walk In The Rain Book Review

RATING - 4.5/5

AUTHOR: Udai Yadla

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Udai, an IT consultant by profession, is an avid writer and poet. Having good imagination skills, writing became a natural choice for him. Many of his poems and stories were published in school and college magazines. He is currently working on his untitled second book which is a crime thriller.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Love is the poison that kills you. Love is the elixir that keeps you alive. An unreciprocated love keeps you alive but kills every day. Heartbroken Sunny lives a reclusive life, trapped in the past, living in his memories. He has no complaints about his life but refuses to embrace the present. Saloni is a prostitute who is desperate to earn money by any means. She does not care about exploiting others to fulfill her purpose. Fate unites the loner and the prostitute to embark on a life changing journey of retribution and self-discovery.

A surprise planned for his birthday turns into a tragedy that claims the life of his dear friend, triggering a series of unbelievable events. Sunny’s calm life suddenly turns into a turbulent storm. With nothing left to live for, vengeance becomes his ultimate mission. His reluctant alliance with a prostitute to trace the killer sets him onto a nerve racking adventure of life and death.

A walk in the rain is intricate of intense emotions, driven by hair raising twists and turns.

REVIEW: A Walk In The Rain is very heart touching, a simple and beautiful love story full of action, drama and emotions. The timeline of the story is very short, yet you will live each and every hour of the story as everything is real. The best part of the story is that it’s full of twists and turns. As the story moves forward, some things start becoming predictable but Udai has perfectly maintained the balance till the very end. The name of the book is very beautiful and perfectly suits the story.

The editing of the book was not done perfectly. The story moved in a past-present format which was good but the book looked short on the space. Some space between different scenes could have increased the quality of the book. The cover of the book is also very simple and about the author part is also missing in the book.

My final conclusion is that the book is a MUST READ as the story is very beautiful and lovely. Udai Yadla has an amazing simplicity which is nowadays missing in modern authors. I would definitely love to read more books for Udai in future.

*This review is of the older version of the book.
