INTERVIEW:

Q. Characterize yourself in one word?

Welcoming

Q. Please describe what the story/book is about in one sentence.

It is about love, rejection, and regret described in a humorous manner.

Q. Briefly, what led up to this book? What were you writing (and getting published, if applicable) before breaking out with this book?

The belief that I too can write led up to this book. I used to write few articles for the college magazine.

Q. What was the time frame for writing this book? Tell us an interesting detail or two, if applicable. For example, did you finish the first draft after one week?

Actually, the time frame was 6 months but the idea goes long back. I had a friend back when I was in a boarding school. He used to read a lot and narrate me the story which made me also try reading as a time-pass and there onwards from reading, I jumped onto writing.

Q. Looking back, what did you do right that helped you break in?

Basically, no one does right or wrong and I believe everyone has a story but only some pen it down. That’s the difference!!

Q. Did you have a platform in place? On this topic, what are you doing to build a platform and gain readership?

Frankly speaking, I do not have a platform yet. If you think about the platform you will never write and if you think about writing you need not think of platform. I choose the latter since first comes the book, then the readers.

Q. Favorite novel?

Chanakya’s Chant by Ashwin Sanghi.

Q. Something personal about you people may be surprised to know?

I may write good but I am a very bad speaker.

Q. What’s next?

Most probably a Thriller.

Q. Future of SALISMANIA.com through your eyes?

SALISMANIA.com is doing a great job by providing a wonderful platform and encouraging upcoming authors and diversified storytellers.
