ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Sapna Jha is the author of The First Trillionaire.
Q. Characterize yourself in one word?
‘Dreamer’, in fact, a refulgent dreamer. That’s what I think of myself.
Q. Please describe what the story/book is about in one sentence.
Even my book recounts the crumpled dreams of a girl and plaguing agony of an old woman. The book juggles with your thought and churns your nosiness to put in you in the couch of a voracious word eater!
Q. Briefly, what led up to this book? What were you writing (and getting published, if applicable) before breaking out with this book?
The zeal that makes word lovers devouring, is indeed my drive. I always wanted to play with words and indulge in the world of ‘pen and paper’. ‘The First Trillionaire’ was one such conduit that routed my gusto to escape from the world of mortals, into a realm built in verses of my own thoughts.
Q. What has been your biggest achievement?
It’s my husband, indeed. The inimitable hand he offered, helped run through highs & lows to successfully accomplish my dream. My audacious gut for ordeals shall be called one another achievement, it’s yet another blessing from the Almighty!
Q. Looking back, what did you do right that helped you break in?
Once I decided that I’m writing, I took an obstinate stand against pessimisms. Everything that fell a hurdle was transduced into vigor that helped me paint the words, that’s how ‘The First Trillionaire’ was born!
Q. Did you have a platform in place? On this topic, what are you doing to build a platform and gain readership?
If you peek at Indian audience you might cognize that its theme that pulls the readership, no matter whether it’s a newbie or a veteran writing. Coupled with latest marketing strategies, the book is budding along the bibliophiles across the nation.
Q. Favorite novel?
Well, I actually can’t round a single book from hundreds in my library, however, I specifically favor certain genres like crime thrillers, Romance, mystery, science fiction. To name a few I like Sherlock Holmes, God of small things, Lolita, Middlemarch volumes and so on.
Q. Something personal about you people may be surprised to know?
Well, I was never a writer but happened to be one due to enthrallment at a certain point of life. The core of writing is always the self-satisfaction and there is a different territory which we indulge when committed with words. I even remember I skip library hours during my school days and play badminton instead!
Q. What’s next?
So far I have received some unparalleled support from friends and family which I believe had laid a strong foundation for my future ventures. I’m right now been engaged with a science fiction book which I believe shall be released around mid-2017.
