Q. Characterize yourself in one word?
Very Indian, petite and crazy.
Q. Please describe what the story/book is about in one sentence.
Its a story about the opportunity to cherish life, and all the bitter-sweet gifts it brings with it.
Q. Briefly, what led up to this book? What were you writing (and getting published, if applicable) before breaking out with this book?
Nothing per say lead to the making of the book. It was more like a diary for my unborn children to read about how I took life as it went by. Till the time a friend or two read the manuscript and emphasized and influenced me to get it out there and help those who lost hope over the most prettiest of matters.
Q. What has been your biggest achievement?
Every life achievement for me has been big. I haven't gauged my achievements. I'm quite content with the way I am.
Q. Looking back, what did you do right that helped you break in?
I want to believe in karma, perhaps I might have done something worthwhile, to get to where I am today.
Q. Did you have a platform in place? On this topic, what are you doing to build a platform and gain readership?
I did have no platform whatsoever, I just decided to pen it down, but without the intent of getting it published. I hope a good word of mouth should be an adequate start to gain readership for now.
Q. Favorite novel?
None actually, I'm more of a writer than a reader.
Q. What’s next?
A book called Flying without wings is on the cards of being published in a while, I am working on another manuscript as well.
Q. Future of SALISMANIA.com through your eyes?
Hoping to see it as India's go-to page for Page 3 and Tabloids.
