Q. Briefly, what led up to this book? What were you writing (and getting published, if applicable) before breaking out with this book?
I conduct workshops on Market Profile and Intraday Trading. Usually, I have a habit of giving a trading or motivation related book to all the participants of my workshop. In one such workshop, one participant suggested me to write my own book instead of giving other books. I was impressed by the idea and thought to give it a try.
Before publishing this book I have written a lot of articles on Trading, Intraday Trading, Market Profile, etc. on my website (http://www.profiletraders.in/Pages/ArticlePage) and also on few friends’ blogs.
Q. What has been your biggest achievement?
My biggest achievement happened on the day when I decided to follow my passion. Trading is my passion and two years ago I quit a well-paid job which I had in one of the top international banks.
Now, I am not only a successful Trader but also a Trading Coach and I have written ‘Trade and Grow Rich’ book along with my co-author Kiran.
Q. Looking back, what did you do right that helped you break-in?
I learned Trading from Mr. Chetan Kumar and Mr. Rudramurthy B.V who are very supportive throughout my trading career. In the stock market, we have many trading styles and trading concepts. I kept my focus on Intraday Trading and Market Profile concept until I become a successful trader.
Q. Did you have a platform in place? On this topic, what are you doing to build a platform and gain readership?
I already had a good platform for my book. As I said earlier, I share my views on the stock market every day on my website www.profiletraders.in and over 500 people visit my site every day. In addition, I am also active in the Telegram group and other Social Media. To be honest, I have not done much to build the readership. Now ‘Trade and Grow Rich’ is also qualified for “AMAZON Best Reads July’2018” and this came from word of mouth publicity.
Q. Favorite Books on Trading?
‘Reminiscences of a stock operator’ is my all-time favorite book. I also like ‘Mind over Markets’ and ‘Trade like a casino’ books.
Q. Something personal about you people may be surprised to know?
I love solo trips to places which has either a sea or forest. Often I visit places like Coimbatore, Pondicherry, Mangalore, and Thirthahalli (Malnad area of Karnataka).
