RATING – 4/5
AUTHOR: Prita Yadav
PUBLISHER: White Falcon Publishing
ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Born and brought up in Pune, Prita Yadav is extremely passionate about sports, especially hockey. She has represented Maharashtra State in hockey club. She developed an interest in reading books at very young age and was especially fascinated by the ones from the fiction genre. The fond memories for her alma mater, plus the zeal to master as many sports as she can, motivated her to write this book in a sports school.
ABOUT THE BOOK: Jolene Jordan has been forced to join KLASS by her father and she dislikes the fact that she has to toe his line. She makes up her mind to be extremely rude, disobey the teachers and break all rules; so that she would be expelled from school and her father would be humiliated. For some time Jo is the 'Mind your own business' girl and the bottom performer in her class until a sudden unfortunate twist in her life makes the girl change over a new leaf. The story revolves around Jo's whirlwind journey through KLASS, her dilemma to choose a game as her MAJOR, her resolve to get thrown out of KLASS as a rebuke to her father and her struggle to overpower her notion to be friends with anyone at KLASS.
VERDICT: KLASS is tempting and covers sports and emotions. It will show you the world full of sports and energy mixed with emotions.
REVIEW: KLASS is based on sports and a girl named Jolene Jordan. It throws light on the inner fight that she was going through. The story will inspire you and you will have a very new experience. Prita has beautifully blended her words to bring out such an amazing work full of energy and emotions. I felt connected to the story from the beginning till the very end. The books cover is also very suitable for the title and blurb in every possible way. The efforts Prita has put in, to describe each and every part of the story is commendable. Every sport, as well as the novel lover, should read it for sure. It will bring best out of every reader. Only if it was little quirky and written in fewer pages, it would have been icing on the cake. Over all it is a must read and I am also expecting a sequel to the book. Would love to read more from Prita in future.
