Giri is a 42-year old IT professional who has worked for more than 20 years with leading IT companies in India. He has also been an IT consultant with Fortune 500 clients across Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa, and Australia. This has exposed him to the real life mysteries, troubles, and challenges faced by IT professionals.

Q. Characterize yourself in one word?

Versatile.

Q. Please describe what the story/book is about in one sentence.

IT industry to the outsider is all glamour, technology, and luxury, but it has humans and passion and its share of crimes and now an IT Detective - an IT Sherlock like character.

Q. Briefly, what led up to this book? What were you writing (and getting published, if applicable) before breaking out with this book?

I always loved books and have a collection of over 10,000 books and always wanted to write a book. My job involved technical documents and training so always wrote and presented to clients or to LinkedIn etc technical article about IT, security, management etc.

Q. What has been your biggest achievement?

Writing my first book and now almost half way through with my second with the same character in IT with an aim to build an IT Sherlock.

Q. Looking back, what did you do right that helped you break in?

Maybe the unique subject - IT industry and crimes. Real events as base and experience to know the reality of IT for over 20 years. And Indian detective based in IT industry a rare combination.

Q. Did you have a platform in place? On this topic, what are you doing to build a platform and gain readership?

I have a good audience following in LinkedIn and used it to introduce the IT based detective. Add to it my IT background across top 10 Indian IT companies my friend's circle. I am using my social and professional network platforms to promote the book.

Q. Favorite novel?

Too many All Sherlock novels and Agatha Christie novels but Sign of Four by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle of Sherlock Holmes is my favorite.

Q. Something personal about you people may be surprised to know?

I am an introvert, I prefer to sit alone and read or write. But to those who know me, it will be a surprise compared to the outspoken, long training and presentation giving consultant being an introvert.

Q. What’s next?

Three medium length stories for my second book and officially am naming the detective IT Sherlock.

Q. Future of SALISMANIA.com through your eyes?

I expect SALISMANIA.com to become a popular medium for authors, writers and the new wave of book lovers to connect and know more about the new generation authors and poets. To evolve into the busy socio-intellectual medium for the e-generation of writers and readers. Maybe into the new trendsetting into media itself from the new wave advanced technology-oriented generation.
