ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Hrishikesh Joshi is a twenty-one-year-old, reluctant engineering student. Inspired by a placard on an airport he thought of a means to hijack a plane and wrote a story about it. He is a Taekwondo Black Belt, National Referee, an astrophysics enthusiast, studies psychology, loves backpacking in Himalayas and lives in Pune with his parents, sister and a very jumpy German Shepherd.

REVIEW: Checkmate will hijack your mind and will thrill you to the core. The story is very interesting and full of action. The way Hrishikesh has penned down his thoughts in Checkmate is amazing. The twists and turns after short intervals work as a cherry on the cake and it will keep you glued to the story till the very end. Page by page as the truth begins to unfold, you'll feel engrossed deep and deep into the pages. Hrishikesh really has the charm of attracting readers through his story. I loved the way the characters are described in the book. It’s a complete thiller and is worth applause. Checkmate is a must read for all crime and thrill lovers. This story will just turn any of your worst boring days into thrilling and exciting one.
The story could have been a little more interesting with few more flavours of mysteries. Overall, it’s a good read for all the novel lovers. I would love to read his future works.
